contemporary issues and exploring Biblical texts
- Lectionary Bible study: A
small group discussion looking more deeply into scripture passages in preparation for worship
- United Methodist Women: A time-honored organization connected to other UMW groups and focusing on mission
- Family Promise: A new outreach effort designed to help families waiting for subsidized
housing. Volunteers are always needed!
- Brother's Keeper: An outreach
effort to make sleeping bags for people who are homeless.
- Friends in Faith:
A mid-week evening children's program resembling Vacation Bible School and designed to provide an experience of the Bible.
- Vacation Bible School: An annual summer event stimulating new friendships and
learning about God
- Newcomer's Group: A six week fellowship of people
who have recently started worshiping with us. Attendees learn about our church, United Methodism, and one another.
- Nursing Home Worship: Extending our worship experience to folks who live in long-term
care facilities. Volunteers provide music, read scripture, and serve communion.
- Small
Group Bible Studies: Long term and short term, a variety of studies designed to meet needs as they arise.
- Children's Sunday School: No lectures here! We use a rotation model to experience Bible stories with
a goal of being exposed to a wide portion of scripture in the elementary years.
- Confirmation:
An experience of learning and mentoring that prepares young people for church membership.
